Steel we make from the ground up.
Iron ore and coal go in at one end of our plants. TMT bars, wire rods, pipes and strips come out at the other. Nothing in between is bought in.

Six quick checks before you approve the steel for your site. Most take a minute, at the dealer’s yard or when the truck arrives.
Brand and grade rolled into a Singhal bar.
Fe 500D suits most homes and buildings. The “D” stands for higher ductility: the bar bends a long way before it breaks, which matters in earthquake-prone areas.
Genuine TMT bars carry the ISI mark with the licence number, the brand and the grade rolled into the bar at regular intervals.
Each lot should come with a mill test certificate showing chemistry, yield strength, tensile strength and elongation. Match it to the bars on your truck.
Weigh a few bars and compare them with the standard weight for that size. Underweight bars mean less steel than you paid for.
Ribs should be sharp, even and unbroken along the bar. They are what grips the concrete.
A bend and rebend test on a sample piece should leave no cracks on the outside of the bend.

Fe 500D grade to IS 1786:2008, rolled from billets cast in our own melt shop.
Rolled in coils at the Shyam Ispat unit, for wire drawing and fasteners.
Mild steel pipes for structures, sheds, scaffolding and fabrication.
Cast in our induction furnaces and checked heat by heat before rolling.
Direct reduced iron from our rotary kilns, the feed for our melt shops.
Ferro alloy for steelmaking, made at the Singhal unit.

Where the group started. Sponge iron through to pipes and wire rods, plus ferro alloys. A blast furnace is planned here.
Five induction furnaces in the melt shop, a wire rod mill, and WHRB and CFBC power plants.
Our newest unit, with a DRI plant, a TMT mill and a 65 MW power plant.
The Singhal Group is promoted by the Agarwal family of Raipur. The founder’s sons run it today, the same hands-on way he did: on the shop floor, close to the furnaces and close to the customers.
years in civil engineering and construction before he founded the group and set its first plant running.
years in iron and steel. Runs the group with his brother.
years in iron and steel, across the group’s plants and operations.
Every TMT bar is rolled to the Fe 500D grade.
We cast our own billets, so the chemistry of the bar stays in our hands.
Our own power plants keep the mills running steadily.
